The Amathole District Economic Development Agency (ASPIRE) has reaffirmed its commitment to building strong partnerships with traditional leadership by supporting the Inkciyo KaXhosa 4th Annual Celebration: Honouring Heritage, Empowering Womanhood, hosted at Nqadu Great Place, Mbashe Local Municipality.
This programme pulled together the amaXhosa Kingdom, Amathole District Municipality and its local municipalities including, Mbhashe Local Municipality, Mnquma Local Municipality, traditional leaders, and government departments in a united effort to celebrate cultural heritage and empower young women.
The Inkciyo KaXhosa programme, deeply rooted in the values of heritage preservation, dignity, and empowerment, received broad support from key stakeholders including, House of Ubuntu Voices, represented by Ms Xasa who delivered a key address, CONTRALESA, King Hintsa TVET College, Walter Sisulu University,the National Heritage Council, and the Eastern Cape Departments of Sport, Education, and Health.
Supporting Inkciyo KaXhosa reflects our belief that economic development must go hand in hand with cultural preservation and community empowerment.
By working closely with traditional leadership, we are building bridges that honour heritage while creating opportunities for future generations.
Through this partnership, ASPIRE stresses its vision of inclusive growth, where respect for tradition and commitment to development converge to shape a brighter future for the Eastern Cape.
