Tekwane Citrus Farm is situated approcimately 20km east of Mbombela, the capital city of Mpumalanga. The farm land area is 845.4504 ha.
Tekwane citrus farm currently has 42 000 trees planted on 118 ha while the remainder of the land consists of open/cleared fields suitable for cultivation, natural bush and the areas taken up by building infrastructure, roads, dams, etc.
Lemons produced on the farm go to the export market, while the remaining fruit is sold locally. The farm has its own packhouse, office block and storerooms. The Tekwane packhouse is GAP-Accredited and can handle 450 000 15-kilogram cartons per year.
The farm offers several opportunities, such as diversification into other lucrative crops, the development of its mountainous area for eco-tourism and the revitalisation and building of gravity dams.
A strategic partner and investor is required to join hands with MEGA in the management of the operations of the farm.
