Profile of Ekandustria Industrial Park

Ekandustria is a provincial government-owned industrial park, managed by the Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA). Located outside Bronkhorstspruit, 57km east of Tshwane and 79km north-east of OR Tambo International Airport, it is conveniently situated near the N4 Highway (Maputo Corridor), linking Mpumalanga Province via Witbank and Middelburg.

Although the park is within Gauteng Province, it falls under Mpumalanga’s jurisdiction. The park is divided into two areas: Ekandustria North, managed by MEGA and the focus of eco-industrial park initiatives, and Ekandustria South.

Ekandustria North spans 455ha, including 363ha of serviced land and 92ha of vacant land. About 30% of the area is developed, with 104 factory buildings, 40% of which are currently rented out. There are 52 industrial companies operating in Ekandustria, with approximately 18 being SMMEs.
