Project overview
Keystone Park is a new 152-hectare logistics, warehousing and light industrial precinct in KwaZulu-Natal on the N3, at the Hammarsdale Interchange. The development goal is to turn Keystone Park into the best new, modern, fully serviced, secure logistics park in KwaZulu-Natal.
Progress*
- Keystone Park is 70% developed and operational.
- 80% infrastructure is completed, while 20% remains incomplete due to the developer going under liquidation process.
- CPD facilitating engagements between ETM, Developer and KPEMA in finding a solution for the incomplete infrastructure.
Next steps
- Facilitation of statutory rights to achieve 100% development of the park.
- Procurement of contractor for MR-385 once funding secured.
Challenges
- Lack of funding for implementation of upgrades to MR-385 and future maintenance.
- De-proclamation and transfer of asset from KZNDOT to City.
