The Mampeule Foundation is a leading non-profit organisation in South Africa. The Foundation provides support to initiatives in Property, Education, Global Health, local Community Development and Bursaries for tertiary education.
The Mampeule Foundation was founded in 2019 by Rali Mampeule, who is considered one of South Africa’s leading real estate entrepreneurs with over 20 years’ experience in real estate, and Makentse Mampeule, an entrepreneur and philanthropist.
The Mampeule Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life and access to opportunity for marginalized communities across South Africa and the globe. The organisation works towards this mission by providing grants to organizations in the following areas:
- Local and Global Health
- Property and Entrepreneurship
- Bursary Program
- Community Development
The Mampeule Foundation has, to date, invested and donated in excess of R20-million in various community outreach, education, global health, research and development initiatives including:
The United Nations aligned Global Surgery Foundation as the Founding Funding Start Up Donors that was launched at the World Economic Forum in 2020.
The University of Johannesburg’s Sustainable Materials and Construction Technologies research unit with whom the Mampeule Foundation, in partnership with Department of Science and Innovation, recently completed and launched the first 3D concrete printed house in South Africa.
The Mampeule Foundation Bursary Program which has assisted deserving students with funding for their tertiary level degrees and diplomas of choice since 2016 and recently celebrated a total of ninety (90) graduates.
The Mampeule Foundation built and donated 75 housing units using innovative construction technology and provided 300 people with a roof over their heads during the Covid 19 lockdowns.
