The Chartered Institute of Government Finance, Audit and Risk Officers (CIGFARO) cordially invites you to attend the 16th Public Sector Audit, Risk and Performance Indaba, scheduled to take place from 20 – 23 April 2026 at the East London International Convention Centre.
For over 96 years, the Institute has remained committed to promoting sound financial administration, good governance, and accountability in the public sector. Through initiatives such as this Indaba, CIGFARO continues to contribute meaningfully to strengthening municipal finance, audit, risk management, and performance oversight across South Africa.
The Audit, Risk and Performance Indaba serves as a strategic platform that brings together public sector leaders, governance professionals, policymakers, academics, and private sector experts to engage on critical issues shaping the future of public sector accountability and service delivery.
The 2026 Indaba programme will be built around the theme: “INTEGRATED ASSURANCE FOR HIGH-PERFORMING PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS” which seeks to explore innovative approaches to strengthening governance, enhancing risk management, improving audit outcomes, and advancing performance management within the public sector. The programme has been carefully curated to encourage knowledge sharing, practical insights, and collaborative dialogue among stakeholders.
Participants will benefit from expert presentations, panel discussions, case studies, and interactive sessions that address emerging challenges and opportunities in the public sector environment.
