Investment in infrastructure in industrial parks throughout the Eastern Cape is ongoing with various bodies being responsible for driving the development of these projects, which are intended to diversify the economy of the province, promote economic sustainability and create jobs.
Promoting transformation and growth
The lead agency for driving the concept of industrial parks within the province is the Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC), which is tasked with promoting economic transformation, inclusive growth, competitiveness, investor-focussed solutions, pioneering innovation in key growth sectors, operational efficiencies and financial sustainability.
Successive Eastern Cape Investment Conferences have shown that investors in manufacturing, media, construction and retailer are responding to the opportunities represented by the land of infinite possibilities.
