Local- and multinational businesses will collaborate with key enforcement entities and authorities in an effort to secure borders across land-air-sea. The two-day Transnational Organised Crime (TOC) conference will take place at the Indaba Hotel, JHB from 26-27 November 2025, organised by Pinpoint Stewards who recently hosted the annual Mine Security conference in June.
Industry and enforcement entities alike, will share best practice case studies, practical tactics, coupled with current technologies to generate better coordinated solutions in building defenses against illicit trade.

Pinpoint Stewards have partnered with the Border Management Authority (BMA), showing their will to do all in their power to collaborate with industry and enforcement authorities. Dr Michael Masiapato, Commissioner, BMA will be opening the conference by addressing smart borders and how technology innovation can monitor and reclaim.
Marcena Hunter, Director of Extractives, Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime (Australia) will join via video conference and add her view on how organized criminal syndicates exploit the extractives industry and look at possible solutions globally.
Matthew Johnson, Manager: Financial Crime Fusion Centre at Capitec will discuss investment scams, scam centres and human trafficking and how they are interlinked
Dr. Mandla Zembe, GM, Security Executive, Rio Tinto-RBM will address preventing illicit trafficking of Precious Group Metals and other minerals and discuss policy recommendations and global cooperation.
Amanda Lotheringen, Senior Manager Copyright and IP Enforcement, Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), will add a strategic approach to fight counterfeit goods and in turn Lt Col Wouter Diamond National Counterfeit, Contraband and Illicit Goods Policing Division: Visible Policing and Operations, South African Police Service(SAPS), will address counterfeit goods in moving towards prosecution-led investigations rather than only raiding.
A panel discussion focussed around global threats and local responses will deliberate on how an integrated crime intelligence network, across jurisdictions, can promote urgency in response.
