In less than three weeks, the African Agri Council will host the 5th African Agri Investment Indaba. Over the 3 event days, we’ll welcome over 1000 agri professionals from 50+ countries to Cape Town, South Africa as they come together all with the same purpose – to drive investment opportunities across the agrifood value chain.
In partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD), we’re pleased to host a pre-event workshop on 14 November that will take a deep dive into “Women in commercial agriculture and agro-processing”.
This workshop will feature hands-on and practical knowledge for all participants and cover:
- Fast-tracking active participation of women in the agricultural sector beyond primary production into agro-processing, agribusiness, commercial and export levels
- Mobilizing capital for women led and influenced agribusinesses – investment opportunities to support the development of sustainable food systems
- Applying an entrepreneurial mindset to ensure business growth and to overcome limited access to land, training, production inputs as well as finance and credit
