Fetakgomo-Tubatse SEZ to learn new business trends at the Manufacturing Indaba

The envisaged Fetakgomo-Tubatse Special Economic Zone in Limpopo is set to become a hub for green energy manufacturing and mineral beneficiation.

The team from Fetakgomo-Tubatse Special Economic Zone (FTSEZ) is attending this year’s Manufacturing Indaba, where they are expected to learn about the latest global and local manufacturing trends. The Indaba will be hosted in the Sandton Convention Centre in Gauteng on 21-22 June 2022.

The Manufacturing Indaba is the premier manufacturing event in Sub-Saharan Africa and auspiciously, this region’s manufacturing base has also grown and diversified. The conference will include engaging panels and networking experiences that will fit organisations’ diaries, using the latest industry technology. This annual event is hosted to empower promising members of the manufacturing community to identify global trends; keep abreast with global competition; embrace digital transformation; cultivate a skilled workforce; enable black industrialist collaboration and acquire insight into what incentives are available to better empower their businesses in the future.

These discussions will pave the way for a more equitable, competitive and successful manufacturing industry and economy as a whole. The event has proven its worth in terms of fostering business connections and assisting manufacturers in their efforts to innovate, grow, and realise their full potential.

This year’s Indaba will be hosted with the theme “Reigniting economic growth through manufacturing”. It brings together manufacturers, industry leaders, government officials, capital providers, and industry experts to grow their manufacturing operations.

The event also promises to bring investors from across different sectors in the country and from abroad under one roof to discuss trade and investment opportunities.

“We are going to this Indaba to learn new trends in the market in order to implement within, or plough back what we have learned into, our communities. This is an opportunity we cannot miss,” says FTSEZ Executive Manager Solly Kgopong.

He added that this event does not only facilitate investment promotion for new entrants into the manufacturing sectors, but also provides a platform for introducing new technologies sought to accelerate economic growth and resolve many of the social ills in our society.
